From Dublin Airport
Drive time: Approx. 1 hour 30 minutes.
Take the M50 Southbound, then merge onto the M7 motorway towards Cork/Limerick. Exit at Junction 17 (Portlaoise South) and follow signs for the N77 to Abbeyleix.
Alternatively, take the Aircoach or Dublin Express to Portlaoise, then a taxi or local bus to Abbeyleix.
From Dublin
Approx. 1 hour 15 minutes
Take the M7 motorway heading south towards Cork/Limerick. At Junction 17 (Portlaoise South), follow signs for the N77 towards Abbeyleix. Continue on the N77 for about 14 km (10 minutes) until you reach Abbeyleix. Once in town, Preston House Boutique is located on Main Street. Parking is available nearby.
By Train
The nearest train station is Portlaoise Railway Station, about 15 minutes from Abbeyleix by car or taxi. Trains from Dublin Heuston, Cork, and Limerick run frequently to Portlaoise. Taxis are available at the station, or you can arrange a transfer in advance.
From Cork
Approx. 2 hours
Take the M8 motorway north towards Dublin. Exit at Junction 17 (Portlaoise South/Abbeyleix) and follow signs for the N77 to Abbeyleix. Drive about 14 km to reach Abbeyleix town centre. Preston House Boutique will be on your left-hand side on Main St.
By Bus
Abbeyleix is served by Bus Éireann and Local Link routes connecting to Portlaoise, Kilkenny, and Carlow. Check timetables at www.buseireann.ie or www.locallink.ie for up-to-date schedules.
From Galway
Approx. 2 hours
Take the M6 motorway east towards Dublin. Exit at Junction 15 (Ballinasloe) and take the N62 towards Birr and Roscrea. From Roscrea, follow signs for Mountrath and Abbeyleix on the R445/N77. Continue to Abbeyleix, where Preston House Boutique is located on Main Street.
